How much does a .co.za domain cost in South Africa?

A .co.za domain is R109 a year at Innovatech Group, and .org.za is the same. Internationally it is R298 for .com, R336 for .org, R384 for .net and R399 for .africa. All prices are in South African Rand and include DNS management. Domains renew annually and we invoice you before the expiry date.

How long does it take to register a domain?

ZA domains like .co.za and .org.za are usually registered within minutes of a successful payment. International extensions such as .com and .africa are typically live within the hour. Once registration completes the domain appears in your portal, where you can manage DNS records, nameservers and renewals.

Can I transfer my existing domain to Innovatech Group?

Yes. Use the Transfer tab on this page, then unlock the domain at your current registrar and fetch the authorisation (EPP) code. ZA domains move without an EPP code but do need your current registrar to approve the change. There is no charge to move DNS management to us, and we are happy to host a domain that stays registered elsewhere.

Do I need hosting to register a domain?

No. Register a domain on its own and park it, or use free domain pointing to send it to a site hosted somewhere else. If you do add hosting, business email accounts and a free SSL certificate are included from R99 a month.

What happens if I forget to renew my domain?

We invoice ahead of the renewal date and send reminders to your account email. If a domain does lapse, ZA domains enter a redemption period during which they can usually be recovered, though registry redemption fees apply. Keeping automatic renewal on in the portal is the safest route.
