Privacy Policy

INNOVATECH GROUP (PTY) LTD (registration number 2017/044479/07), trading as Innovatech Group, is the responsible party for personal information processed through innovatechgroup.co.za. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

1. Information we collect

Account information — name, business name, email address, telephone number and billing address, so that we can create your account, invoice you and contact you about your services.
Billing information — invoices, payments and payment references. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our systems.
Service data — the domains, hosting accounts and mailboxes on your account, and the technical logs our servers generate.
Support correspondence — the tickets, emails and messages you send us.
Website data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies.

2. Why we process it

We process this information to provide and support the services you have bought, to bill you, to meet our legal and tax obligations, to protect our infrastructure against abuse, and — where you have opted in — to send you product news. The lawful bases are the performance of our contract with you, compliance with law, our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, and your consent for marketing.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information with operators who process it on our behalf under written agreement: domain registrars (to lodge and renew registrations, which the registry requires), payment gateways (to take payment), our data centre and infrastructure providers, and our email delivery provider. We do not sell personal information.

4. Cross-border transfers

Some operators process information outside South Africa. Where that happens we require the recipient to be subject to a law, binding agreement or corporate rules affording protection substantially similar to POPIA.

5. Retention

We keep account and service information for as long as you hold services with us. Financial records are kept for the period required by South African tax and companies legislation. Server logs and support correspondence are kept for as long as they remain operationally relevant, and are then deleted or de-identified.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transport, access control, malware scanning and regular backups. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Requests go to info@innovatechgroup.co.za. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within a reasonable period.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies necessary for the session, authentication and shopping cart to work. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the client portal will not function without them.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, contact us first at info@innovatechgroup.co.za. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

10. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date shown by your browser. Material changes will also be emailed to account holders.
